We at Glenwood Kitchen Ltd. are making an effort to limit of our carbon footprint. As such, every year we are taking more and more steps to be more environmentally friendly. We have made both big and small changes that will leave a lasting impression. We are doing things like switching our lights to energy efficient ones and to recycling all of our paper. At the centerpiece of our environment initiatives is our biomass furnace. Simply put, our dust collection system collects dust and plywood waste throughout the production area and transports them to two silos adjacent to the building. The silos then feed the biomass furnace, which burns the fuel to heat water that circulates to provide all heat required for the plant. We recently upgraded our boiler to an efficient, clean burning furnace that reduces our carbon footprint. Glenwood also uses the most up-to-date technology in cutting and machining our products so that we are not throwing away material.

PROPER CARE:
REMOVE DUST – Dust build-up which is made up of small airborne particles, may scratch or dull the surface if not removed correctly. Simply wipe the surface with a clean cloth dampened with a fresh solution of mild soap and water or vinegar and water. We also recommend a safe and effective “Mohawk cabinet cleaner” please contact your nearest dealer for details.
CLEAN – Fingerprints, cooking fumes, smoke residue, etc, accumulates on any finished surface. None of these contaminates will harm our finish, but they should be periodically removed to restore the finish to it’s original luster. Just wipe the surface with a clean cloth dampened with a fresh solution of mild detergent solutions. Avoid the use of strong soap, ammonia based products, silicone oils or self-polishing waxes as they may cause damage if used over a long period of time. Ammonia based cleaners will cause your finish cabinets to yellow. The finish is durable and resistant to most household spills. However, spills should be wiped up promptly to avoid potential problems, again we recommend our “Mohawk cabinet cleaner”.

NOTE: Excessive, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures and high humidity cause damage to both the finish and the wood itself. These should be avoided.
You can also refer to the sticker in the cabinet under your sink for instructions.

For a different look try designing with the majority of the wall cabinets higher and deeper with only a few cabinets lower and shallower as seen in
the pictures.

To make it even more interesting add a few mullion doors to these higher and Deeper cabinets and voila!
