The continuous, single-piece arm rest and back rail for our Tear Drop Armchair is made using a unique manufacturing process in which the cells of the wood are actually broke down to make it flexible, then let it harden naturally in its new shape. This allows the wood to keep its natural strength and appearence even as it takes on a graceful, curving line. . . giving you a remarkably strong yet elegant piece of furniture that cannot be achieved with the steaming and bending process commonly used in furniture-making.
